God has created every individual unique and with specific skills and capacities. ASWS focuses on empowering individuals and groups to explore their potentials and capacities in order to ensure their well-being along with enhancing a sense of community care. ASWS recognizes the vital role that institutions play for the development of society, and therefore has initiated several programmes with the support of government and non-government organizations along with own resources
Agricultural Development & Animal Husbandry
Shimoga is an ideal place for cultivation and is known for agriculture; the founder president and the patron of the ASWS, is very much concerned about the empowerment of farmers and farmer produces. Various seminar and training in organic farming is conducted in different areas of operation. As part of the income generation programme we have promoted different live stocks in the people especially self-help group members. The members are getting an adequate income from this for their livelihood. We have started with promoting goat tearing in which 45 persons have participated. In future we wish to promote: - cow rearing, Quill rearing, Rabbit rearing, Poultry units and Pig rearing.
